I disagree completely with your characterization that I was aggressive, mean, or problematic. I contacted your office because I was a prospective disability client who had several follow-up questions after receiving information I did not fully understand. I was not rude or aggressive for asking those questions. You state that employees are required to remove themselves from conversations when they believe a caller is problematic. That may be your office policy, but it does not change my experience of the interaction. I was in the middle of asking a question when the call was ended, and when I called back to address that, I was told that if I had been listening, I would not have had follow-up questions. I was then characterized as rude. More concerning to me is the way your response discusses disabled clients generally, including references to people with mental and physical impairments being “difficult,” “snarky,” and seeing themselves as “the victim.” Horrifyingly, you also specifically characterized me in those terms. I never claimed that you personally participated in my original telephone conversation. My complaint was about MY interaction with your office staff and MY decision not to retain your firm as a result. You, are certainly entitled to provide your version of events. While I, am equally entitled to provide my account of an interaction I personally experienced. Neither of us has provided Google readers with a recording of that conversation. With this review readers can now decide for themselves which account they find more credible Your response Mr Hnot, has actually reinforced my original concern about how I might be treated as a prospective disability client. That is why I will not be retaining your firm. I also do not wish to discuss this matter further by telephone. Please do not contact me regarding this review. I am leaving this review because it reflects my personal experience and opinion as a prospective client. Potential clients can now read both my review and your response and make their own decision. ********************************* My review: I hardly leave negative reviews but this one is truly upsetting to me. I have to share my experience. I’m sure Shelly may read this and deny all. But here is my VALID review. Shelly office director is very difficult to deal with. I am very vulnerable, new to SSA and so I had some questions, maybe 4 or 5. She definitely educated me with a lot of jargon I did not understand. So of course I had follow up questions. Yet, she unfortunately did not like that. She went on and dealt with me in a very unprofessional way 1) she was impatient with me and said “ok”and hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking my question. 2) I called her back and brought it to her attention that she hung up on me while I was talking. She stated’ “if had been listening I should not have followup questions” I replied, “I did have a follow up question” and that is the moment when she declared me rude! lol because she was bothered I had follow up questions? 3) she seems like the type that will blame clients for anything without justification. Therefore, Mr Hnot lost my business due to Shelley’s performance. She honestly seemed burned out, not empathetic and reluctant to listen and most horribly insulting to me personally. I have never and will never interact, let alone do business with anyone that acts so unprofessionally. Additionally, all the reviews on google are not about his services. The reviews are about his YouTube channel. These reviews do not help me or anyone decide on choosing his services. No reviews are on any successful SSDI or SSI claims professionally worked by him. Work on all the above Mr Hnot and Shelly. Getting away with making money off YouTube is not good enough. There are people out there that actually need you to get to work on the services that you were admitted to the FLORIDA BAR for. *************************************
