After talking to her on the phone, I thought I had finally found an attorney. I had to wait until after the holiday weekend to get a payment to her and she had told me to send her paperwork over the weekend. I replied to her message asking what paperwork? Then didn't hear from anybody. I thought they were having computer problems cuz that's common in this area. Paid my retainer and waited a couple of days. Then I tried messaging again. The response was, "I'm busy. I'll get to you next week." Then she sent me an angry message that she's $500 an hour on the weekend, she told me she saw all my messages. If she saw all the messages. She couldn't send a quick reply? She tells me to send paperwork over the weekend but I can't send her messages over the weekend? And here's the kicker right on her page it says, "We are never too busy for your referral". I'm bad cuz I got a miffed about being charged $1,000 and then being told I had to wait, that they were too busy for me? She told me she refunded my money and I've been waiting for that to show up on my account. I still hasn't shown up so I called my credit card company today to dispute it. This is the second lawyer I tried to hire that has done this to me. Lawyers should work like everybody else. You get paid for the job you do when the job is complete. I wish I could bill my customers $1,000 and then tell them they had to wait for me for over a week. Why would you send me a check when I paid for it by credit card? You didn't tell me you were mailing a check. I was expecting it to go back on my credit card. I can't receive mail, I stay in a campground
