I would avoid this firm. Attorney David Derubertis failed to return my calls or emails — even after repeated attempts.

It was truly an honor to witness David deRubertis in trial this past week. As an employment attorney myself, I had long heard about him from my colleagues and always hoped for the chance to see him in trial. His client was terminated for “blowing the whistle.” David’s command of the law, case strategy, and courtroom presence was nothing short of masterful.

What impressed me most wasn't just his sharp legal mind or knowledge of employment law and precedent but his deep passion for his client and for justice. Watching the way he addressed the judge, examined witnesses, and responded to defense counsel was a masterclass in advocacy. His closing argument was simply unforgettable, dynamic, heartfelt, and persuasive. I’ve never seen anything like it in person.

To be David’s client is to be incredibly fortunate. And for attorneys like me, witnessing him work was both humbling and inspiring. He’s opening the door for a new generation of employment lawyers to follow and reminding us why we do this work in the first place. It feels like a turning point in my career. I may never do it quite at his level, but it was powerful affirmation that love for the law, and for people, especially people wronged in the workplace still has a place in the courtroom.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM. They are incredibly unprofessional and unresponsive. The main attorney, David Derubertis, put me through hell just to have an evaluation requiring a meeting at 7am. Furthermore, he promised a response in five days and still has not responded two and a half weeks later despite numerous follow ups. I repeat, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM. This is the type of conduct that gives the legal profession a terrible name. Your case is never going to get its due.
