I couldn’t sleep much just anxious about me potentially serving time , not being able to provide and support my family financially, but soon as Chris called me it was the biggest relief off my shoulders, he sounded genuine to actually wanting to help me step by step of the judicial process. Where do I even begin with this situation? I initially hired this attorney to assist me with a DUI case. If you are a first-time offender with no criminal history, I highly recommend looking into the PTI program before paying anyone for their services. In August of 2024, the attorney mentioned negotiating a dismissal with the DA through text messages. However, I later received forms to fill out for a program that required an interlock probation, among other things. The attorney claimed the forms were just a backup for the dismissal, but it became clear that he was pushing me to go through the program all along.
After a year of dealing with this, I asked about my options and was given the choice of probation, an interlock, and classes for a year, or a three-month license suspension with an occupational license. When I appeared before the judge, I was hit with a $3000 fine and told I needed an interlock for the occupational license. It made no sense to decline the program if I still had to pay and have an interlock, especially if the program ultimately led to dismissal.
It wasn't until I went to court on my own and spoke to the judge that I learned the full extent of the situation. The attorney had failed to inform me of crucial details and had misled me about my options. He never told me about a 3000 fee ! Despite his claims, the prosecutor goes on record that the PTI program was still on the table until January 26 2025 ! So why in the text it was not ? Why does he say for an occupational it’s $1500 he not charging me any fee but I call the court and it’s only $365 !I urge others not to use this attorney, as he will take your money, provide little to no assistance, and then lie about it. Its not even about the
Money!!! It’s about the fact this man lies like I don’t have text messages ! I’m assuming because I’m a young black woman he thought I was boo boo the fool and wasn’t going to fact check ! will be filing a formal grievance to ensure that others do not fall victim to his deceitful practices.
