Derek is an outstanding lawyer. Immigration cases take a long time, and I have been with Derek for many years. He also represents many of my family members and friends. I would not send anyone to any other lawyer other than Derek. His staff is always courteous and respectful, and though I do speak English, it is nice that most of his staff are bilingual. Derek is very busy, but his office always calls me back within a day or two if I need to make an appointment with him. I trust Derek with my future and my family.

I had a great experience with this law firm. From the beginning, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and made sure I understood my options throughout the process. I always felt that my case was being handled with care and attention. I truly appreciate their hard work, communication, and dedication. I would highly recommend this law firm to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate legal representation.

I had a very disappointing experience with Cosmo Law’s scheduling and customer service. A couple of weeks ago, I called and was given an appointment for September 17. I explained that I had an urgent criminal matter and asked whether anything sooner was available. The representative told me she would keep the September 17 appointment and also place me on a waiting list for an earlier opening. When I called back to follow up because nobody had contacted me, I was suddenly told that September was completely booked and the earliest appointment was now in October. I specifically asked what happened to the September 17 appointment I had already been given. I was told that because I had been placed on the waiting list, they had apparently given away my scheduled appointment. That is not what I agreed to. I clearly asked to keep September 17 while also being considered for an earlier cancellation. I spent approximately half an hour trying to explain this and asking them to honor the appointment they had already scheduled. Eventually, I asked to speak with a manager. I was transferred to what appeared to be an empty line, and the call was then disconnected. For a law firm dealing with people who may have urgent and time-sensitive legal matters, this level of scheduling confusion and communication is unacceptable. If an appointment is confirmed, clients should be able to rely on it unless the firm clearly tells them otherwise. I would not recommend relying on this office for a time-sensitive matter based on my experience.
