DeckerJones is very untrustworthy and do not take care of their client. I hired this Law Firm to file a constitutional lien against an estate, and they appointed Jacob Tucker ( which was awesome) to be the primary attorney on my case. Then Mr. Tucker left their Law Firm and a partner Anthony Cuesta took over my case. This with this is when it went downhill. He tried to bully me into paying him a higher hourly fee than what was agreed on in the engagement letter. Which is a binding contract by Texas law. He billed me ($450) an hour this is $180 more per hour than what was agreed on. When I brought this up to his attention, he stated he would not work on my case for less than what his normal hourly rate is, Even though we already had a contract for a lower price. Since I refuse to pay him his new wage, he accused me of complaining about billing an hourly rate. Which I was instructed to do in the engagement agreement if I had any concerns about it.. I had a very urgent and material fact come up in my case because I was getting counter sued and I ask him To try to take it and get it removed from my case. He refused to do this why still representing me? Because I would not agree to his new hourly fee, he filed with the court to withdraw from my case. And eventually, the court, let him withdraw from my case. This is a blatant disregard for a client interest. Putting his profit above the client. And I’m no attorney, but this is also a breach of contract. I recommend an urge no one to use this Law Firm or this attorney, Anthony Cuesta for any legal matter.
