We had a great experience getting our will and trust in place. Wendy and Patricia gave us such clear step by step instructions and support through every step of the way.

We asked Defonte Law to create an estate plan with wills, trusts, and medical directives for 2 people. The first part of the program went well. DeFonte effectively framed the questions we needed to answer, the work we needed to do, and provided sensible options for how to make tough decisions. However, here it is early April 2026 - 6 months after our first meeting in October of 2025 - and we are still not finished. The second part of this program bogged down in delayed administrative actions and a lack of customer service that I don’t think reflects the fees we paid - up front. The first major delay (weeks) was the notary that allowed us to finalize our documents. The introductory email from them indicated that it would take 2 weeks to SCHEDULE our first meeting. Even the DMV is better. And after 2 weeks we had to reach out to prompt them, and there was no follow up from DeFonte til after we said something. The second major delay (weeks) was scheduling a 15 minute funding meeting. Absurdly, we were sent a link to schedule the meeting in which there was only one day per month available, between 9 and 3 pm. My partner is a nurse. She can’t just step away from work for a 30 minute scheduled meeting. DeFonte showed no flexibility (meetings before 8 or after 5, a Saturday call) and so we waited. I expect to edit this once we get the final package. I don’t have a ton of confidence in the timing of this as we still don’t have an expected delivery date, despite reaching out a second time to the notary.

I heartily & fully recommend Patricia De Fonte & her team for all aspects of estate planning. My husband & have been extremely lucky to have been able to work with Patricia from early in her practice, & she has done so much to demystify the estate planning process for us - from advance heath care directives, to wills, to trusts.
