David provided exceptional service in drafting my trust and will. He listened carefully to my concerns and structured my documents to address those needs. It was easy to get an appointment and set up a review of the documents. I've recommended his services to several people.

I was extremely disappointed with my estate planning experience and would not recommend David Rubin for this service. He arrived approximately 45 minutes late to our scheduled appointment, and I was never provided with a questionnaire or any documents to complete beforehand. During the meeting, he used a legal pad to gather my information, and the overall process felt very unorganized. I also had several concerns with the guidance I received. When I asked about an advance directive, I was advised that I did not need to have my wishes written out and could simply communicate them to my power of attorney. I did not feel that my questions or concerns were fully addressed, and I felt that several matters I considered important to my estate planning were dismissed rather than discussed in detail. I was particularly uncomfortable with the way certain decisions were approached. Rather than asking how I wanted assets distributed to my child and explaining the available options, I felt I was being told how I should structure the distribution. I was looking for an attorney who would educate me about my choices and then help me create a plan based on my wishes. I also felt that I was spoken to in a condescending manner at times, which made the experience uncomfortable. Additionally, the Cottleville location was not what I expected from an attorney's office, as the meeting took place in a shared conference room rather than a dedicated law office. After the appointment, I was told I would need to wait approximately four additional months to have my documents notarized, which added to my frustration with the process. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe this experience warranted one. Estate planning involves very personal and important decisions, and I expected a more organized, thorough, and client-focused experience. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I received that here, and I would recommend seeking an estate planning attorney who takes the time to listen, explain the available options, and make sure the client's wishes are fully understood.

After an extremely stressful discussion with the first lawyer I picked, I reviewed the entire list of Attorneys and picked Mr. David A. Rubin. Within the short time my husband and I met with him, he carefully went over everything the will, medical and financial power of Attorney etc. in depth. He was extremely professional, patient and very easy to talk to. He offered a lot of good advice since we had no idea of most of the things that needed to be done. His staff, especially Debbie was very nice too. We left his office highly satisfied. Two short meetings at no cost to me. A job well done! Thank you, Mr. Rubin!
