I have been consistently paying on a debt that I do owe and take responsibility for. Medical debt can mound very quickly and unexpectedly (especially when working with multiple doctors and hospitals for a very serious condition). In an effort to fast track the process, I called to try and settle for a lesser value as I was in a position to potentially clear almost the full amount. They wouldn't even exercise the idea of negotiating down a dollar. While I do appreciate the payment plan, I find it very off putting that I thought I was going the extra mile in trying to resolve my issue a lot sooner. I figured trying to clear up the amount with a lump sum vs. continue with a payment plan would benefit both parties, however they have proven to be difficult and will not work with anyone on resolutions. To say I feel defeated yet again is an understatement. I will just have to continue to pay my monthly and feel like I am in the grips forever.

It's people like this who make individuals not want to receive medical attention in fear that they will end up down a rabbit hole. Even a person who pays for insurance, does all of the right things still get burned in the end. Sad that a tough period of time in a person's life can feel like you will never get on the other side. Did I ask for a life threatening condition that would hold me from going to work? No. But am I trying to clean the aftermath of it up? Yes. Grace is always something so appreciated.

Mistakes can be made and calls can go unanswered but if you call them back and figure out what’s going on, mistakes can be fixed and issues resolved. I was not pleased with how I was initially being contacted but when I called them back Steven was very professional, helped answer my questions and got my issue resolved.

Don’t ignore their calls, it’s probably a valid reason and honest mistake.
