I had a wonderful experience working with Jonathan on a legal matter. He was very understanding, taking the time to listen to my concerns and review the proposed settlement thoroughly. He then made amendments that better protected my interests. Throughout the process, Jonathan clearly explained the legal standards and my options, which gave me the confidence to stand my ground and make informed decisions rather than feel pressured into accepting the settlement. I'm grateful for Jonathan's guidance and would recommend him to anyone who needs a lawyer who takes the time to understand their situation and help them protect their interests.

My experience in court was deeply disappointing. Mr. Takhsh was completely unprepared for the proceeding. He arrived nearly an hour late, and the confusion started immediately when he seemed unsure about the form I needed to complete to get into court. While we were waiting for the matter to be heard, he appeared inattentive and, at points, seemed as though he was struggling to stay awake. What concerned me most was that he asked whether I would be comfortable presenting the arguments myself if the judge did not allow him to do so. I found that extremely troubling. I hired an attorney because I needed an attorney to present my legal arguments, not because I expected to argue the case myself. Once we were before the judge, he struggled to answer basic questions, and the overall courtroom performance was so concerning that one of my witnesses asked me, "Are you sure this guy is a lawyer?" Even more troubling, the judge reportedly asked him, "Are you an attorney?" That was an incredibly embarrassing and unsettling moment for me as a client. The only reason I did not lose my case that day was because opposing counsel was even more incompetent and had failed to file the proper paperwork to allow his client to appear remotely and this allowed the trial to be pushed. I immediately fired Mr. Takhsh and hired Jennifer Miller to step in and clean up the mess that had been left behind. I was also deeply disappointed by how Mr. Chan responded afterward. When I told him about what I believed was Mr. Takhsh's incredibly poor performance, Mr. Chan completely took his side, defended him, and gaslit me saying the entire situation was my fault. I could not believe it. After years of trusting CTK Law Group, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously, not dismissed. I also found it frustrating that I was later told I should have known CTK Law Group does not handle small claims matters, even though the firm had accepted my case and I had paid them to help me. This experience caused me real financial harm and forced me to hire new counsel. The difference with my new attorney has been dramatic. She listens, files paperwork, communicates clearly, and conducts herself in a way that gives me confidence that my case is being handled properly. What makes this especially upsetting is that I genuinely trusted CTK Law Group. I had a good working relationship with the firm for years. I believed in them. I recommended them. That is why this experience was so disappointing. Based on my personal experience, I can no longer recommend CTK Law Group for litigation or court-related matters. I am deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled, and I wish I had hired different counsel before ever walking into that courtroom.

After a recent interaction with Jonathan, I've revised my review and lowered my rating from two stars to one. I believe that I have an obligation to warn the community about this lawyer. I asked Jonathan to address three aspects of my case: (1) The case for breach of contract. (2) The case for fraud. (3) The enforceability of the limit of liability. Jonathan was unable to keep track of these objectives: His summing up of the case partly addressed the first aspect, but completely ignored the other two. It was impossible to get a clear, concise, and unambiguous assessment from him. Jonathan relies heavily on an AI tool that spits out a huge amount of hard-to-digest information. Also, when I suggested that he share some of the risk, his confidence in the outcome evaporated. After spending more than $2,400, I decided to drop the case.

I wanted to share this from my personal experience. I recently sold my family business—a $1.3 M+ stock purchase transaction—and honestly, there were moments when I almost walked away from the deal. The buyer’s attorney was exceptionally tough, and it felt like nothing was negotiable. What made the difference was Jonathan. He didn’t just review the contract; he really took the time to understand my situation and walk through everything in detail. I will always remember one afternoon when he spent four hours going through the stock purchase agreement line by line with the buyer, patiently explaining our perspective and helping both sides find common ground. That kind of care, patience, and real human judgment is something AI simply can’t replace. I’m genuinely grateful, because without his support, I might not have been able to close this deal. If you ever need legal advice, I highly recommend at least speaking with him once. Even just one conversation can make a massive difference.

Working with Mr. Chan has been an incredibly positive experience. From the very first consultation, he has remained consistently communicative and supportive throughout my case. Choosing to hire him was one of the best decisions I could have made, he never gave up and continuously advocated for fairness on my behalf. I truly felt that I was receiving the best possible guidance every step of the way. He took the time to explain everything in detail, which helped me better understand the process and feel more confident moving forward. I highly recommend his services.
