I wouldn’t suggest hiring Jesse Ruiz as a lawyer if you or a loved one is facing serious charges including murder , attempted or any other big charges. We hired Jesse back in June 2024 possibly July 2024 , we were desperate and I didn’t have the time to do my proper research on a defense attorney , and that is for sure my fault. I lacked proper understanding of hiring a criminal lawyer. From jump after hiring Jesse , he repeatedly told us he was going to file motions, but those motions were not submitted as promised. We were left feeling uncertain about what work was actually being done and whether the case was receiving the attention and preparation it required. Another major concern was the proposed timeline for trial. Jesse wanted to proceed to trial approximately five months after my children’s father was arrested on serious charges. Given the severity and complexity of the case, this raised concerns for us about whether enough preparation time was being dedicated. During the preliminary hearing, Jesse had a law clerk present who appeared to be a student gaining experience in criminal law. We hired an attorney expecting experienced, hands-on representation for such a serious matter. We also became uncomfortable with the way Jesse frequently shared stories about previous cases he had won. As clients, we expected professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality. After multiple concerns and red flags, we made the difficult decision to end the attorney-client relationship. Unfortunately, the experience made an already painful situation even harder, and we have struggled to find new representation while trying to rebuild confidence in the legal process. Jesse may be a good fit for certain types of cases, such as DUI, domestic violence, or other less complex matters. However, based on our experience, we did not feel he was the right attorney for a serious criminal case involving charges as severe as ours. I am sharing my experience to encourage others to thoroughly research their attorney, ask detailed questions, and make sure they feel confident in the communication, preparation, and commitment they are receiving before making such a significant decision. I know that he had his law clerk associate angel write on a white computer paper for me not to write a bad review , but not even that paper was professional, and says everything. Plus it was 9pm and I had to drive with both my children to Wilshire blvd , not a professional time either. But this is just a glimpse of what I experienced with this law firm. 🤍
