I retained Chris Fink to represent me in a legal matter and, unfortunately, my experience was consistently disappointing. To begin, he took my scheduled consultation call in his vehicle , told me he might cut in/out and I could tell he wasn’t fully present for me. Throughout my case, there were repeated billing and communication issues. My invoice was incorrectly charged for a phone call on two separate occasions, despite being told the call would not incur a fee. In addition, basic details in my paperwork, including the county information, had to be corrected multiple times. Communication was one of my biggest concerns. Responses to emails and questions were often delayed, leaving me feeling uninformed about the status of my case. More concerning was the apparent lack of attention to the information I provided. I repeatedly explained important details, yet those details were either overlooked or inaccurately reflected in the documents prepared on my behalf. I was also told there was a rescheduled court after the initial was rejected due to the judge being out of town but the new date was not confirmed or denied. I emailed the clerks office ( since Chris didn’t reply and his paralegal didn’t know ) and the clerk told me there was no record for a new hearing date being requested. After approximately three months, more than $2,500 had been deducted from my retainer, yet very little progress appeared to have been made beyond basic paperwork. When I expressed my concerns and frustrations, I did not receive a meaningful response until after I had terminated Chris’s representation. It was frustrating to finally receive communication only after ending the attorney-client relationship. The final issue that solidified my decision was being threatened with additional fees if I did not immediately return a notarized document after terminating representation. Given the delays and errors I had experienced throughout the case, I found it unreasonable to be pressured to leave work and comply on the same day while important matters had remained unresolved for months. Chris had a pre trial set and I was shocked when told this, as my parenting plan was mutually agreed upon and nothing about trial was ever discussed. No trial of any kind was needed and I never ended up in court with my new representation. Overall, I did not feel that my case received the level of attention, accuracy, professionalism, or communication that I expected when hiring legal counsel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. I hired new representation and my case was done within 2 months
