This Attorney was referred to me through another attorney who was too busy to take the case. I was dealing with a water damage and flooding situation where my insurance was denying the coverage. At first, Ron said that this was an easy case, and he was certain he can do it , but after receiving the $5,000 retainer , I didn’t hear from him for almost 3 weeks. He then writes me that after reading the terms and condition of the policy he has found a technicality but it will cost me $5000 to $6000 for him to research it. When I asked him if he could elaborate on what the technicality was he wouldn’t respond. He kept beating around a bush. I decided that I will ask him for a full refund since he did not help me whatsoever. I wrote him nice email and he said he absolutely will not give me a full refund. I didn’t ask him that since I was dealing with an insurance denial already it would be nice of them to give me a discount which he refused. He charged me $1800 for his time at $750 an hour. Mind you it’s customary for attorneys to at least peruse through the case then get a good idea of whether they can defend it or not before they commit and his case he just shot from the hip and in then he could not deliver. I felt like my retainer was held hostage, and you can charge me whatever you wished. I will not recommend this guy to anyone.
