Clapp Moroney Vucinich Beeman Scheley – San Mateo

Called this outfit this morning to RETAIN a personal injury attorney for a back injury I sustained at a large shopping mall here in San Mateo County. Unfortunately, they are my ethnic sounding surname name repulsed them, and conjured up a vision of a penniless Indian, from South of the Border, wearing sandals and a Serape, who could not possibly afford them, and so, I was referred to a "Government number", as the woman who answered the phone put it. I thought she may have given me the number to the Bar Association, but when i called it I got Legal Aid of San Mateo County. I called this outfit back and asked the very same woman what number she had given me and she said it was a number in her file, and that it was "the government", so I just had to let her know what tribe she came from. Racial profiling occurs over the phone, too. it was very demeaning.
