Just received a call from Julie Camden August 15 2025, after calling into her office yesterday to set up an appointment for next tuesday at 9am. Was woken up out of bed, did not have my notes for the consultation. Asked if I could call in 2 hours. Nope she stated. Had a scheduled call set for next Tuesday. Her assistant wished to schedule me out originally for end of August. Julia was rushing me on the call. I'm a veteran of the Navy. Julia was telling me she did not have much time for the call. Felt very rushed and I was. Will see how scheduled call goes next week. I have talked with many attorneys in my life time. The first red flag was her discounted referral rate. During our initial call, I made it clear that everything was already filed with the court. She marketed herself as a fierce litigator in court (second red flag), even though I never asked for that, and assured me she’d resolve the case at the hearing specifically. I made it clear that everything was ready for the scheduled hearing as I emailed every bit of information about the case and its documents.

Fast forward, she stopped responding after giving us incorrect legal advice that cost over $12,000 in expenses. Despite explicitly seeking her written confirmation beforehand, she assured us we had the legal right to proceed. This happened TEN months into the case, when she should have had a thorough understanding of it. After given the opportunity to fix it, she still lied and tried to gaslight us, thankfully, her response is in a written format.

She also pushed the court date out by over a year, which only racked up unnecessary administrative bills and delayed progress (which is part of her business) When confronted about her lack of communication and unreliable legal advise, she turned the situation around on me. She sent a withdrawal letter claiming she couldn’t reach me—despite my repeated attempts to contact her for an entire week leading up to the hearing. This was after she had gone silent for three months.

It’s clear she doesn’t understand—or care—that there are real legal consequences to her actions I (and others) believe to be fraudulent and unethical practices, which she’s about to understand.

Her plan was clearly never to appear in court but to send emails and bill over $200/hour for minimal effort, thus, withdrawing right after pushing the hearing after she could no longer come up with excuses to delay the case (but she thinks she covered her behind)

If you need someone to process legal paperwork at a discounted rate, she might work for that. But if you’re looking for an attorney who will see your case through, provide reliable legal advice and actually represent you in court, save your money, time, and most importantly, your case.
