Our business was in need of legal assistance in a hurry, and we were referred to Burch & Cracchiolo. Celia the legal assistant reached out to us within 20 minutes of being referred. She was able to schedule a meeting for us to talk with David Villadolid that afternoon. I was very pleased with how this was handled due to the urgency. David followed up with me all weekend and insured that I had what I needed on Monday. He also followed up after to ensure everything went well. No follow up!

I submitted a 2 page long email on January 22, 2024, directed to Burch & Cracchiolo, attention attorney R.J. “Bucky” Slomski, regarding a potential medical malpractice and wrongful death case regarding my husband who passed away on May 11, 2024 after a 6 month long, cardio and traumatic brain injury illness, as well as nursing home abuse, overmedication and negligence.

When I did not receive a reply, I made a follow up phone call on January 28 leaving a message for Mr. Bronski’s assistant, Carye Chubick. No one had the courtesy to call me back.

On the morning of January 31, I sent another email asking IF they were interested in my case, and if NOT to please have the courtesy of letting me know. I finally received a phone message from Ms. Chubick a few hours later saying they were no longer accepting medical malpractice cases and then a follow up email and PDF formally declining representation.

Much like lawyers, I value MY time. It is unacceptable for them to NOT reply in a timely fashion and subsequently waste both my time as well as theirs.

I chose them because they are a long time, since 1970, Phoenix law firm, but clearly their office management staff and lawyers need to be more responsive to potential clients. How much time does it take to say “no?”

Also, if they are no longer accepting medical malpractice cases, perhaps they should delete Personal Injury and Wrongful Death from their website as they show TEN lawyers who handle personal injury, malpractice and wrongful death litigation so others like myself, do not waste our time, especially since there is a two year limitation period.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Paul Kular. Paul took an immediate interest not only in us as clients, but a personal interest as well. As our case evolved, a conflict emerged and Paul had to step aside, but before doing so, did the research necessary to find us an outstanding replacement. My family was faced with a potentially expensive legal process, a possible uninsured liability and all the related stress and anxiety - both financial and emotional - that would have resulted.
