Honest Review of Suzanne N. Price – Rule 31 Divorce Mediator

I used Suzanne N. Price as a Rule 31 divorce mediator. I was representing myself without an attorney, and unfortunately, I felt disrespected and dismissed throughout the entire process. Rather than treating me with neutrality and professionalism, she came across as impatient, condescending, and noticeably biased. It felt like I was being looked down on simply for not having a lawyer — as if that made me less deserving of respect.

While mediators are supposed to help both parties feel heard, I felt ignored and rushed as she moved between rooms. When I asked if she enjoyed her work, she smiled, but her attitude toward me told a different story — one of disinterest and superiority. I walked away feeling like I was an inconvenience, not a client.

To make matters worse, at the end of the mediation — after agreeing to terms I didn’t want — she congratulated me on finalizing the divorce. Knowing full well that I fought to save my marriage, her words felt like a gut punch. Sometimes silence is more professional, especially in sensitive situations like these.

If you’re a man representing yourself, I would strongly encourage you to consider another mediator. My experience with Ms. Price left me feeling unheard and devalued — not what mediation should be.
