I asked Brian Barnes (and Maria Blue!) to help me with my divorce. If there is such a thing as a garden variety divorce, mine was about on the level of Himalayan blackberry removal, it was that scary and difficult for me. Divorce attorneys have to manage a lot of moving pieces and tricky situations with as much efficiency and steadiness as possible, and Brian did all this with a large dose of humanity and good humor that should be a job requirement for all divorce attorneys. Many thanks to Brian and Maria for their help in minimizing the fear and the chaos that I felt I and my kids were living in. When the divorce was final, I felt like we were going to be okay, and that is just about the best thing to be able to say.
