I personally would not recommend this attorney, especially for minor guardianship cases. Granted mine was a complicated one, and the attorney charges hourly, I would have appreciated a heads up about the costs I was incurring into, since they SIGNIFICANTLY exceeded what I anticipated. A monthly statement instead of a big surprise after 9 months for instance would have been courteous. Certainly, a weekly phone conference instead of multiple daily emails would have reduced billing charges and I wish they discussed this with me, especially since the attorney was well aware of my financial situation. I'm not bringing up details about my case because of confidentiality and because it would be pointless now, however, I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the way it was handled and I ultimately had to seek counsel elsewhere. Granted it is not mandatory, I haven't even received a receipt of my last payment. Would not recommend.

We were working on an estate plan with Ms Swank for two years. We spent thousands of dollars on legal services.

The law office requested information from us. After six months, we received a letter from the law office notifying us they closed our file.

It would have been more personal, more caring, and more professional, in our opinion, to ask if we planned to provide the requested information and proceed ahead with our estate plan.

The reason we hadn't responded to the information request was because I had been diagnosed with cancer and was out of state undergoing cancer treatments - at the time this was more important to us than proceeding with our estate plan.

Since the law office didn't care enough to ask WHY we hadn't responded and just closed our file without notice, we will find another attorney with a higher level of client communication.
