Over charges and doesn't advance case. Presents herself as over aggressive and un-reasonable in every negotiation scenario. Opposing used this firm until it became clear that Bauer Law is a financial black hole. After hiring new Legal representation (Fired Brauer Law) both sides began to work together to bring case to an amicable settlement. I don't want to see others financially bleed without advancing legally, so I'm leaving this review publicly with my true name.

Following are my opinions and my honest experiences from my point of view. Laurel Brauer got nothing done for me with most outrageous charges that I have ever seen. I fired her as soon as I got my first invoice which did not come until the third month so I was literally stuck with a bill for 3 months already. It was nothing but bunch of email correspondences and the total bill was close to $30k. I asked for a discount and she said I was rude. Yes, I was in shock and upset when I got the invoice. She doesn't accept credit card payments either. She also misrepresented herself and said she knew the opposing counsel and worked with him before on many occasions, which was a lie. She knew nothing of my ex's attorney. If I knew the truth, I would not of retained her period. Instead of pushing for settlement, she encouraged forensic CPA to evaluate my small business which would of cost me thousands more. When I told her that I settled with my ex on my own, she basically be littled me. Be cautious of anyone that needs to plaster "Super Lawyer" all over her emails. Do your diligence, and keep looking. Yes, dealing with this firm and this attorney is far worse than the divorce itself. I did take her to arbitration and won. I was able to get thousands back. Arbitrators asked her why she didn't use a paralegal but instead billed me at a her rate of $500/hr. I was her second arbitration case on that day. She is well known to the arbitration committee. Furthermore, her assistant attorney will do the work and she had to review all of her work and therefore I was billed twice (DOUBLE DIPPING) for their inefficiency. Receptionist may appear like a nice neighbor next door, but her only role is to answer calls and bring in new clients. I believe her name was Sandy Palmer who also put in a Google review earlier and gave Laurel Brauer 3 stars. Very interesting. I can go on for hours but enough said. Hope this helps and protects us the consumers.
