I had never hired an attorney before and if I could go back in time, I would not hire Ashley for my divorce. Or, at the very least, I would have insisted on phone call correspondence instead of emails. The 15 minute charges to read through my questions added up and my retainer was used up and exceeded in no time, despite there being nothing to dispute. Phone calls would have been much more efficient. Many times, her emailed responses left me feeling unheard, especially when the divorce was final and I had stated 3 times that our house had been sold & the closing date, but still received an email stating "...you can now list your property and divide your assets. Don't forget to ask him for $X in addition."

I was looking for an attorney to communicate on my behalf and instead she encouraged me to talk to my husband through things despite my repeated statements that I felt uncomfortable doing so. Never once did I feel supported in the process nor did I feel like she represented me and my interests. I often felt in the dark about where we were in the process. I'm thankful that my divorce ended in amicable terms, but it was no thanks to Ashley. In the end, it was a huge waste of money.
