POA inquires beware:
Business has a nice and friendly feel. I wish they could have helped me, but instead they made me feel uncomfortable. I take care of someone who wished to make me their power of attorney. I mentioned that he was forgetful and they spoke to him alone. He said he couldn’t remember exactly what was said but that they couldn’t help us. He said they would not explain why. They didn’t bother talking to me at all. I am a good listener and would have probably understood, but I believe I was misjudged. Because I was given no explanation, I just felt bad and uncomfortable. Like I was doing something wrong, when I am only trying to get a family friend the help he needs. It was a waste of our time, and would have been a waste of money too if we had went through with it. $400 dollars to be exact. We have found a different local law office that would only be charging $150 for this service.
