I'll admit had I went off of the online reviews alone, I probably wouldn't have picked Mr. Best as my Attorney; however I was given a recommendation by someone I truly trust and listened to them. Very glad I did! At the time of reaching out to him, I was unavailable so my Mother had to do the calling & intake for me.
When I was finally available, I read the reviews but took into consideration the person who recommended him, along with the interaction he had with my Mother & I gave him my retainer on the day we set along with all the paperwork.
MY opinion is this- you get what you give! He (any attorney for that matter) is not there to be your buddy or pal! Give respect, you'll get respect! To address the phone calls, in the other reviews I have read: I have gotten phone calls back EVERY time I've called along with a courteous response! What I figure is, the world doesn't revolve around us: he has a job to do, one client is not all he has, you have to figure in, he's in Court all day long, working on new intakes & we are ALL entitled to our days off with our families. Don't expect people to drop everything because you feel you need them in the here & now- IF it's a legit emergency, he will get back to you in ample time! If you're going to harass him hourly or even daily with ridiculous questions, I'd probably ignore the call too!
He appeared in both of my Court cases on time, even when one of them I was told I had to be there from the time they opened until the time the Judge was able to get us in!
Other legal questions/concerns I've had, he was able to give me an honest run down (not taking me for my money) & on another end, telling me I have a case, but it's going to be a lengthy one & if I want to pursue it, he will be there to take it on but I have to be ready: not only for being there physically for the proceedings but also mentally!
On my personal experience I rate him a 5/5 for every aspect of my dealings with him.
