The individual answering phones for Brooks’ office today, who introduced herself as his secretary without a name, was extremely rude and dismissive. After providing my name, she immediately interrupted me, asked who I was calling for, stated the case was closed, and then refused to even review the email authorization that permitted her to speak with me. Instead, she hung up the phone.
When I politely asked her to be courteous after the first interruption, she continued in the same manner. This type of behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and a poor reflection on the attorney she represents. First impressions matter, and it is disappointing that someone with this attitude is the initial point of contact for clients or colleagues.
I would expect better professionalism and courtesy from a firm that wishes to be taken seriously. Do better.
