I spent $10k to have them represent me in a DWI case (first and only one in 45 years, accident not my fault, denton county texas). They did help me along through the initial portion of the ALR hearing process, etc. (albeit somewhat of a struggle in itself to convey my needs for the occupational license), but fast forward to now - a year later - the second my case starts to roll through the courts, they dump me onto another contracted attorney I've never heard of and didn't hire, after I've paid this firm in full the standard flat rate fee of $10k(!) . . Im not sure what they do that's so great, but my advice is: if you have $10k you can spend on a lawyer for DWI in Denton county, DO NOT buy into their slick talk. They'll tell you how great they are at even this particular issue, and just blow you off at the end once you've paid. I realize now that I should've have shopped better for an individual of my choice that specializes in the county. I probably would've saved a lot of money and been better served than by some random contract lawyer (Marisa Dunagan, Dunagan PLLC) of their choosing who seems to have no experience in the county of my first and only dwi offense. A month in jail seems to be my best resolution in an accident that wasn't my fault in the first place. Second accident: believing in this firm. I think i would've done just as good or better with a public defender. What a waste of money. .

Regarding your response 4 months later, why would i want to waste anymore time talking to you? You wouldn't even help me with the ODL i still required after the fact and wanted 2500 more . . Unless you want to refund me money, which i know will never happen, there's nothing more to discuss. For real representation call tim powers in denton. He did so much more for me at a fraction of the price. I should've done that in the first place . .

I strongly regret hiring Barbieri Law Firm to handle my DWI case. After my arrest last June, my family helped me retain them within a month, and since then, they have billed us an outrageous $16,000—yet no progress with the case was ever made. A court date was never established yet we received a bill WEEKLY due to so-called "case checks & weekly case reviews" that yielded nothing but mounting costs. Even after we explicitly asked them to reduce the frequent updates due to financial strain, they ignored me and kept charging. Aside from a single brief court appearance on a minor, separate charge, they did almost nothing except drain my family’s savings. I cannot stress enough how exploitative this firm feels; for anyone facing a DWI, I strongly urge you to avoid them, as they will simply milk you dry without real results.
