Review:
Ballard Spahr LLP has demonstrated, in my direct dealings, the very worst in legal ethics and client accountability. Their attorney, Justin E. Kerner, Esq. (NY ID #5505821), representing CitiBank, N.A., has embodied everything the public should be warned about: obstruction, procedural gamesmanship, and a complete disregard for truth and transparency in the judicial process.

Rather than addressing substantive claims, Kerner has relied on evasive tactics, meritless filings, and a strategy seemingly designed to delay justice rather than serve it. In my case, CitiBank’s conduct (and Kerner’s defense of it) has been conclusively found lacking, culminating in an unmistakable public record of their failure to meet even basic standards of honesty and diligence.

Ballard Spahr’s willingness to stand behind this approach — to protect a corporate client’s wrongdoing at the expense of integrity — raises serious questions about their commitment to the public good and the ethical practice of law. In my opinion, this is a cautionary tale for anyone considering retaining them.

If you value transparency, professionalism, and legal representation grounded in fact rather than obstruction, look elsewhere.

Borrower beware. If your lender is using them as counsel, they will charge you exorbitantly, not provide any type of back up to account for their billing and fail to be accountable. I would highly recommend you ask for other counsel!

Firm will represent anyone who will pay their outrageous fees. Even their own representatives have stated that they look at jury decisions – to paraphrase a famous quote – not ‘as the beginning of the end, but merely the end of the beginning.’ Clearly they don’t care for the decisions of juries and have their own interpretation of justice. The legal process currently in place is obviously beneath them. Additionally they have stated “A different court warrants different representation, particularly as so much new evidence is now coming to light.” Their new evidence doesn’t exist. Clearly the rules of evidence and hearsay doesn’t apply to this firm. They will make up theory there is a mountain of evidence but not support that in any substantial way. They are also in favor of submitting completely doctored or manipulated evidence. Use your common sense and avoid this firm, they will not be able to provide you honest and zealous legal representation.
