I am Vietnamese interpreter and I was contacted by their office for interpreting service during a trial. I confirmed by email, phone!
Everything went well until I sent them my invoice. They totally ignored me. Not even bother to respond that they’ve received my email. I sent another invoice after 3 weeks. No response. I called and request that they confirm their invoice receipt by email. After 30 days, I sent follow up email. No response. After another week, I sent another reminder invoice. Then I received a phone call from THEIR CLIENT asking me to reduce my fee. It is very unprofessional and improper conduct to have their client to call me.
1. I don’t have agreement with their client, I have agreement with them.
2. If they have conducted in professional way, they shouldn’t let their clients call me and they should have promptly responded to my emails.
3. If they care about their clients and would like to renegotiate the rate, they should contact me and ask for options to help out, I am willing to discuss and help out as much as I could. But nope, they totally ignored many of my emails and have the Client to call me and negotiate for their contract.
4. When I called the office and request their verification, their representative simply told me “I don’t know; I don’t handle that case, I don’t handle billing “ while she was the one who sent me assignment information. She even asked for my phone number while she contacted me before and the phone number is on the invoice.
5. The most annoying issues are their poor communication and irresponsible attitude regarding their agreement.
I hope this could be solved in a better way and I have respect to the attorneys however I am really disappointed after this matter and will not work with them again.
Of course, I don’t recommend using their business.
