I have had Martha Avila represent me since 2012, and she has been beyond extraordinary. She has helped me every step of the way and has represented me in three different cases. Every time, the outcome has been successful. She is handling my divorce case now, and I completely trust her. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Martha. My brother’s divorce has been an extremely long and complicated road, with issues involving the sale of a home, finances, family members, and many difficult decisions along the way. The process was prolonged because his ex-wife often dragged her feet and did not retain an attorney until near the very end. Throughout all of it, Martha remained patient, compassionate, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. What impressed us even more was hearing my brother’s ex-wife’s attorney say that it is very rare to work with opposing counsel who is as compassionate and easy to work with as Martha. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of attorney and person she is. There were times when the judge’s decisions did not go the way we had hoped, but Martha never stopped fighting for my brother and advocating for what she believed was in his best interest. She was always honest about what we could and could not control while continuing to do everything she could on his behalf. Martha took the time to explain things, answer our questions, and guide my brother through an incredibly stressful and emotional process. She knew when to be firm, but she also understood the human side of what our family was going through. After such a long road, we are finally around the corner from the end. Hopefully, within the next month or two, everything will be completely resolved and my brother can finally put this difficult time behind him, start a new chapter, and move forward with his life. Divorce is never easy, especially when complicated financial and family issues are involved, but having an attorney who genuinely cares makes an enormous difference. I want to express my forever gratitude to Attorney Martha Avila and her Assistant Hilda. I thank God for her excellent representation for my son when he needed legal assistance with his divorce/custody (he and wife had been separated since 2015 and their child had lived with father and me as grandmother since wife/mother left. In 2021 court awarded father 100%physical custody and mother with 100 parent status but visits with monitor). When mother requested divorce we knew she could represent herself well and make good impression, get divorce and make an appeal for split weekends, holidays, etc) but would be very hard on child as he has autism. Attorney Avila was able to communicate with all parties involved mother, father, and the court. The court granted divorce and upheld the 2021 physical custody order. The whole issue was resolved. It took patience on her part, skill as a lawyer, tact in communicating with two hurting people and a kind heart! Ms. Martha and Hilda are the best! We cannot thank God enough for this legal firm.
