I retained this attorney for limited-scope representation in a California family law matter and paid a retainer based on her advice to proceed with filing an RFO to secure a hearing date, with the understanding that she would review and update the filing as needed.
Shortly before my January 6 spousal support hearing, she withdrew from representation for personal reasons. This withdrawal occurred mid-case and placed me at a significant disadvantage, forcing me to urgently seek new counsel and incur additional legal fees.
After withdrawing, she refused to refund any portion of the retainer, despite the work being left incomplete and the withdrawal creating additional costs. The timing and handling of the withdrawal caused unnecessary stress and financial burden in an active, time-sensitive case.
Based on my experience, I would caution anyone considering this attorney for matters involving court deadlines or ongoing proceedings.
