Attorney B. Michael Macer

Where do I start?
In 2016 Mr Macer was my ex husbands attorney for our divorce. He kept putting our trial back because of his prior obligations but in reality he was buying his client time to live in the martial home for 12 months and he never made a payment, when we finally went to mediation I was told we have no assets. Our martial home of 17 years was in full foreclosure. Mr. Macer was ordered in the divorce decree to pay numerous bills with our savings money BUT instead he returned it to his client and I was sued for those bills, having them ALSO hit my credit and I had to pay them. Mr Macer was to set up the QDRO for his clients pension that I was to start drawing in May. When I called in 2022, there was no QDRO order. For FIVE years the QDRO was never filed, leaving me not being able to draw now for another 10 years due to union contract change. However his client got half of my 401k IMMEDIATELY! He allowed his client to sign over all assets to his mother while putting off our divorce. I just recently sued his client for contempt. Thankfully the GAL was a help in this situation. Mr Macer is definitely not an honest person and he doesn’t do things the legal way. It’s a shame to be honest. His client had a $110,000 a year job and I have a $50,000 yearly income and he tried to make me pay child support. His client is STILL in contempt and we will be revisiting court again soon! A man should be made to take care of his children regardless of how dirty his attorney is. I have ZERO positive to say about my experience as he has cost me thousands by his own breach of contract.

Please DO NOT USE THIS MAN BECAUSE HE IS VERY DISHONEST. He makes false claims in order to get attorney fees without showing what he charging. Don't use him for a divorce because he might have an affair with your wife. Also, he does not know the law. If all else fails, he will petition to take both guardian of estate and person without any hearing.If anyone wants to file a class action case, please let me

Quoted a custody case would cost less than $10,000. Macer suggested a Guardian Et Litem would be a negative factor for the case, did not use submitted evidence, shortened the trial to fit in one day, stated the calling of key witnesses would look negative on me because the judge would see me “taking time away from their outside jobs”, shut down suggestion for drug testing, and ultimately lost the case resulting in a worse arrangement than spoken of in mediation and pre-trial.

Focused entirely on money, child was moved hours away and my time with her went from majority to none. As my family cried this loss in the court room, Macer asked for another $8000 to balance our debt after paying that already. Claimed the trial cost more than he thought, but I had agreed to an hourly rate. Told me we’d talk, I told him I’d report him and he said we were done.

5 years later, attempted to sue me for non payment. This lawyer and firm is a joke, will be seeking a malpractice against him. Five years, child needing therapy and struggles daily, but finally on the track to return her to her family back home and right Macers wrongdoing. Do not let this money grab represent you, he will tell you only call with urgent matters, not use your evidence in court or witness all in order to finish up and cash a check. Ethics are not in this law firm.
