Cost me over $50,000 with zero resolution, do not hire Courtney Cain I hired this firm to handle my divorce and custody case while I was navigating a domestic abuse situation, and it turned into one of the worst decisions I made during an already difficult time. Attorney Courtney Cain was simply not equipped to manage a contested case like mine. Opposing counsel ran circles around us at nearly every turn, and despite being the victim in this situation, my ex ended up walking away with 50/50 custody, an outcome that never should have happened given the circumstances. The billing practices here are what really pushed me over the edge. I was charged for absolutely everything; every phone call, every email, every minor task. The paralegal would bill for doing work, and then the attorney would bill again just to "review" that same work. At one point I explicitly asked them to stop reviewing certain items on my case, and they continued to charge me for it anyway. It felt like the meter was running nonstop with very little actual progress to show for it. After spending more than $50,000 with this firm and getting nowhere, I made the difficult decision to switch attorneys. My new attorney took over, actually managed my case effectively, and settled my divorce for around $5,000. That contrast says everything you need to know. If you're going through a divorce or custody battle, especially one involving domestic abuse, I'd strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. This experience cost me tens of thousands of dollars, immense stress, and outcomes I'm still dealing with.

Please do not spend your money or time with this firm. They'll give you the run around. If you're new to family law, keep communication limited and factual, be prepared, bc every single thing gets charged for. Paralegal will get charged for simple things, and then the attorney will charge to review it. In less than 3months I blew through the retainer fee of 7500!! So unless you have money to blow then keep going.
