had a very disappointing experience with this law firm. Candie Chang was my attorney. For the most of time she was in "depo" for the most of time and sent my case to another attorney I did not know about. I paid a $15,000 retainer and expected clear communication, meaningful legal work, and transparency about how my funds were being used. In my experience, the service provided was very limited. There were only a few email responses and two Zoom meetings, yet the billing statements showed multiple hours charged for “strategy” work on my case. What concerned me most was that I was never provided with any meaningful written strategy, report, memorandum, or other work product showing what had actually been done. For the amount billed, I expected much more transparency and documentation. After I terminated the representation, it took more than two months for the firm to return the remaining retainer balance. In the end, they refunded only $8,600, meaning $6,400 was kept. Based on the limited service I received, I do not believe that amount was reasonably explained. This review reflects my personal experience. I would encourage anyone considering this firm to ask very detailed questions about billing practices, communication expectations, and how unused retainer funds are handled.
