I was in need of an attorney after my son's death due to concerns for advocating for his son, my grandson's stability and support. I was given Jo Alspaugh's name .
She was with the Quinn Law firm at that time. She later partnered with Angela Amatangelo. Jo is a very dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate attorney who will go above and beyond to support her clients. She is timely and efficient in communication and very resourceful. She admirably handled difficult adversarial legal individuals with grace and fortitude. Her partner Angela Amicangelo was also very supportive when Jo was not available. This firm has great employees that know how to treat people in difficult circumstances.

Not all attorneys are created equal. From day one Jo took the bull by the horns and steered it on the right path. She did more work in 3 days then my previous attorney did in one year. She handled my divorce case in a very professional and efficient manner. If you don't want to waste time and money, I highly recommend Jo.

This review is based on my personal experience. Jo served as the attorney for my children in our custody case, and I was extremely disappointed with her representation. In my opinion, she did not effectively advocate for my children's interests. I was also surprised that she did not communicate with my children's attorney in New York during the case.
Her report focused heavily on me rather than addressing my concerns about the other parent. She also stated that I smelled like alcohol, which was completely false. I do not drink, and I strongly disagree with that characterization.
During the hearing, I felt her credibility was undermined by the testimony of my children's therapist, whose testimony I found to be more consistent with what my children had shared.
Ultimately, despite her recommendations, I was awarded custody of all of my children. While every custody case is unique, I believe the outcome reflected the evidence presented at trial rather than the recommendations she made.

“Above and Beyond” is a term we hear often, but Andrea Amicangelo is the true embodiment of the phrase. We were lucky enough to be blessed with her help in an animal case that felt hopeless. Throughout it all, she stayed fighting for us and our animal. She showed kindness and understanding to our anxiety and fear in a high emotion situation. Her legal skills are out of this world, and I’d trust her with anything. She a true lawyer who will fight for you from the start until the end. I couldn’t express the amount gratitude I have for her and what she did for our case. Because of her, our family has been reunited with Ariel, our beautiful cat.
