I would absolutely not recommend Eston Whiteside or the Alford Law Office. I spent over $5,000 on what should have been a very simple divorce, and the representation I received was incredibly disappointing. Before the final documents were completed, I had to correct not a few- but MULTIPLE errors in the proofs they sent me. This happened after I spent hours on the phone with them, making absolutely sure they took detailed notes on everything I mentioned, yet the mistakes were still made. To make matters worse, they billed me for every single one of those multiple drafts, phone calls, and emails- all due to their incompetence or maybe just lack of care since I wasn't an established client? Most concerning was the fact that Eston did not fight for a single thing I asked for regarding my special needs child, even though I made it explicitly clear that I did not trust the father to care for our child alone. Additionally, they filed my child support case as a private (non-IV-D) case, which meant the court did not automatically send the wage withholding paperwork to my ex's employer. That critical step was left out, and it feels like it was just an attempt to string me along and collect more money, assuming I would blindly keep paying them for nothing. The Child Support Office genuinely couldn't understand why he would file the form the way he did and said they had never seen that before. Why wouldn't they file it so the court could immediately handle the child support garnishment? Greed.
