Alexander T. Taubes

I'm an attorney in New Haven, and I hired Attorney Taubes to represent me in my own suit against the City of New Haven. Within 5 months, I fired him after he repeatedly violated confidentiality, blew deadlines, ignored communications, and lied about it to a federal judge. I've grieved Attorney Taubes and couldn't un-recommend this guy enough. Looks for an easy settlement and afraid of the tough fights, and will sell you up the river if you challenge him. The negative reviews ring true. The sycophantic ones are substance free, unsurprisingly. I wouldn't trust this guy to fight a parking ticket.

EDIT: The immature and provacative response below by "Attorney Taubes" represents the peeling back of the facade of this self styled "attorney for the people" and reveals the bitter, retaliatory, and professionally irresponsible clown who nearly botched my federal case before he was removed. 4/16/2026: It's unfortunate but predictable that "Attorney" Taubes has decided to respond to my factual review with false and inflammatory character attacks (about as cringeworthy as his jokes). To be clear, nothing stated by this guy is credible or honest; no responsible attorney would respind in such a manner, and everything I've asserted is so far undisputed by "Attorney" Taubes, and the rest will play itself out. I intend to hold this character publicly accountable through the civil system and grievance committee. I encourage anyone who has been wronged by an attorney to do the same.

Alex, what's the matter that you've edited your response 6 times? Where was this internet tough guy when you were working my federal case? Too busy crying wolf while hiding behind a malpractice attorney. Did I mention I'd give 0 stars if I could?

Alex is not just an outstanding attorney, but he feels like he’s part of your family. He really cares about you. I can’t say enough about him. I met him through a friend of mine and he has been great keeps you updated on your case and it’s probably the smartest attorney I’ve ever seen.
