I should have posted this sooner to save other people from making the same mistake. Jessica lacks empathy and compassion. She is very unethical with her billing and spends money on your case that you see no results for. She refuses to return reasonable portions of retainers. I have not spent money on any attorney as much as she took from me during a horrible time in my life when I was most vulnerable. I wanted her to help me with a DVRO and she delayed filing for so long that I had to suffer another abusive incident. I finally left and went to someone who helped me get out of my living situation. I contested her billing and she wouldn’t budge and took no responsibility and provided no empathy for her delay causing me to endure physical and emotional abuse. she was rude, yelled at me, and she is extremely defensive. She should not be in this business.

I hired Jessica for representation for an ongoing divorce. After I paid my retainer fee the demeanor drastically changed and Jessica became difficult to communicate with and would threaten to quit when I voiced concerns regarding my case. I also found out she was personal friends with my ex spouses divorce attorney. When I brought up a single communication issue she immediately quit and refused to return my retainer. Jessica did not even file a substitution of attorney and produced zero documents for a charge. Jessica was reported to the California State Bat Association and was found guilty and placed on administrative probation with mandatory remediation classes. She still refuses to return the $8,000 retainer which will be decided at the next course of action. I would stay away from this attorney due to her defensive behavior and unwillingness to admit her own personal deficiencies as an attorney.
