​I recently got a speeding ticket, and I heard that Nevada law changed a few years ago—making traffic violations civil infractions instead of criminal offenses—which means drivers often have to handle them on their own. In fact, about three years ago, right around when the law changed, I hired a different law firm for a ticket. But after I already paid them, they told me there wasn't much they could do.
