My experience with Peters & Presley was extremely disappointing. I hired the firm to represent me in an important family-related court matter, but I did not feel properly prepared or adequately represented. There was confusion about the court date, and the attorney I expected to handle the matter was unavailable for the initial appearance. Another attorney was sent instead, but from my perspective, that attorney was unfamiliar with the details of my case and was not prepared to advocate effectively for me. I was also very concerned that a petition I believed was necessary had not been filed. When the matter returned to court, I prepared and filed my own petition in approximately ten minutes. That experience left me questioning why this had not already been handled by the attorneys I retained. Legal matters involving children and families are serious and can have lasting consequences. Based on my experience, communication, preparation, attention to deadlines, and follow-through were not at the level I expected from paid legal counsel. I would encourage anyone considering this firm to ask detailed questions about who will personally handle the case, what documents will be filed, and how court dates will be monitored. I am currently reporting this law office to the Alabama state bar. I highly suggest staying away from Mr. Pressley. We hired him and paid him but there is no progress with my brothers case. I would encourage others to report this firm to the Alabama state bar because it seems like they are taking advantage of many people.

Once they get your money, communication becomes little to none, and you’re left with no real help or results. Protect yourself and do your research before dealing with them.

Please don’t let anyone talk you into using this place. They will take your money and do absolutely NOTHING for you. Once they get paid, communication stops completely—no updates, no calls, no progress on your case. It’s like you don’t even exist anymore.
They make promises just to get you in the door, but don’t follow through on any real service. When you try to reach them, you’re ignored. When you ask questions, you get no answers.
Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Go somewhere that actually values their clients and does the work they’re paid to do. This experience has been beyond disappointing.
